Central govt departments to be completely computerised in next few days: Jitendra Singh

Minister of State for Personnel Dr Jitendra Singh has said, a total of 25 central government departments will be completely computerised in the next few days.

Dr Jitendra Singh said there has been an increase of a whopping 6,000 per cent in the number of e-files, with 4 lakh 62 thousand such files generated so far this year compared to 8,000 last year.

Reviewing the implementation of the Swachhta action plan in New Delhi yesterday, Singh said, the habit of cleanliness should be practised by all and it should be the responsibility of everyone to keep their surroundings clean.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare are observing the ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ from 16th of June to 30th of June.

Singh expressed happiness over the fact that there has been near 100 per cent disposal of grievances under the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System.
