Chhattisgarh Assembly speaker and Kasdol MLA Gauri Shankar Agrawal himself took to distributing gas connection to 100 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana.
He participated in the function organized in village village Khainda within Baloda Bazaar district as part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan.
Agrawal said that this would enable women being able to cook in clean environment and without pollution.
This would also enable women empowerment.
The function had been organized as part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is forever making efforts to empower women and make their lives further efficient in terms of quality.
MLA Agrawal also announced Rs 5 lakhs for community hall and upgradation of high school to higher secondary school as part of demand from locals.
Agrawal also insisted that Ujjawala Yojana would also help curbing of forests and would lead to pollution free cooking across the state.
Many BJP leaders and administrative officials were also present on the occasion.>
