Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh convened a meeting of Ministers and senior bureaucrats at his residence to deliberate on proposed visit of President Ram Nath Kovind.
The President of India is to visit Dantewada and Bastar (Jagdalpur) on 25-26 of this month itself.
The CM also sought feedback from the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of the two districts where the President Kovind is scheduled to visit.
The CM sought feedback through video conferencing.
It need be mentioned that with this visit progressing, this would second time President Kovind will visit the state.
He had earlier graced the stat with his presence on November 5 when he was here to be part of Rajyotsav celebrations.
In so far as this visit is concerned, President Kovind is likely to meet farmers engaged in organic farming in Dantewada apart from a visit to Jawanga educational city and spending time with the students there.
The President of India is also to visit village Hiranar based Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram school and will take time to reach out to Chitrakote falls, a scenic spot.
Ministers who were present in the review meeting included school education and tribal welafer minister Kedar Kashyap as well as forest minister Mahesh Gagda and PWD Minister Rajesh Munat.
Chief Secretary Ajay Singh, Panchayat ACS RP Mandal, Aman Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.>
