Cgarh Parliamentary Secy case; Verdict awaited as hearing held today as well
The much awaited verdict on the fate of parliamentary secretaries could now come tomorrow.
This as the hearing continued today for the second consecutive day in the Bilapur High Court.
It need be mentioned that the petitions in this regard has been filed by two different petitioners namely Mohammed Akbar, who is a senior Congress leader and Rakesh Choubey, a well known activist.
The petitions state that appointment of parliamentary secretaries is unconstitutional.
It need be mentioned that Bilaspur High Court has already ordered seizure of various official powers of parliamentary secretaries.
It need be mentioned that after Election Commission recommended the disqualification of MLAs in Delhi and they were indeed disqualified by the President of India, the demand for their disqualification in other states has also intensified.
The situation in Chhattisgarh is vastly different as disqualification of eleven MLAs in state could bring the state government in crisis. >
