C’garh to have 2 Collectors for a day; heres why its been arranged
In a new kind of initiative, the 27 districts of Chhattisgarh would have two Collectors.
This because the state government is eager to celebrate the completion of 14 years of Dr Raman Singh as Chief Minister.
The state government, with this scheme, hopes to provide connectivity of the different government and welfare schemes with the youth of the state.
Thus the government had organized ‘Spark Chhattisgarh; Khelega Chhattisgarh Jeetega Chhattisgarh’ in which youth had to pass the various stages of screening and only 27 students from each of the districts would now get to become a Collector (even if it is a shadow one).
The chosen youngsters would get to participate in the working of the Collector including sorting out of issues that arise out of implementation of schemes.
The initiative would get implemented on January 9 of this year.
It was also informed that top three best performers out of 27 participants would also be awarded by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on January 12.
The winners would be selected by a panel of eminent people from all walks of life.
Heres the list of participants who have been chosen to become Collectors (Shadow) for a day.
