Chhattisgarh Youth Congress has announced that it would stage gherao of the Chief Minister’s residence on July 23.
The Kharasia legislator Umesh Patel, also chief of Chhattisgarh Youth Congress, said that the gherao will be organized to demand for employment for youngsters and rising inflation.
He said that atrocities on women and corruption are also other such issues on which this agitation has been planned.
Patel also mentioned that justice remains evasive for the victims of the Jhiram Ghati naxal attack and there is also the issue of brutal cane charge on the party workers in the state recently that needs to be protested.
Patel said that all senior party leaders would register their presence in the mega gherao planned.
Umesh Patel said that while 19 lakh youngsters have registered themselves for employment, there is also the issue of missing women that runs into thousands.
It need be mentioned that Chhattisgarh is headed into state election by the end of this year.>
