Chandrababu Naidu responds to Amit Shah; alleges ‘letter of’ propagating lies

cited the number of awards that have been received by his government for performances

As the BJP President Amit Shah wrote an open letter to the Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, it was certain that the Telugu Desam Party would be forced to respond to the allegations.

Now by the same evening, Chandrababu Naidu began by accusing the former ally as propagating lies.

He also countered the claims of the Amit Shah as having allocated quite substantial funds for the state and said that does he mean to say that it is the state government that could not utilize funds.

He cited the number of awards that have been received by his government for performances.

He went on to claim that while the central government continues to provide special benefits to North Eastern states but had the same benefit accorded to Andhra Pradesh, many more industries could have come out of crisis.

It need be recalled that the TDP and the government have been at loggerheads over granting Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP has been raising the issue in both Houses of Parliament causing disruptions and leading to frequent adjournments.
