Raipur: Chhattisgarh has been conferred with the National Cooperative State Award at the national level at the India International Cooperative Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
The award was presented by Union Minister of Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal to the Chhattisgarh State Handloom Development and Marketing Federation. The Chhattisgarh State Handloom Development and Marketing Federation set up stalls for its products in a three-day fair held from 11 to 13 October. A large number of buyers from abroad also came to this cooperative fair.
The Chhattisgarh Rajya Laghu Vanopaj Sangh and MARKFED had also set up stalls at the fair. Visitors at the fair mostly liked Kosa sarees made of natural colors of Chhattisgarh. Around 150 cooperative societies from 35 countries took part in this fair.
