Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has directed for ban on sale of meat and liquor on the occasion of Kabir Jayanti.
He made the announcement while participating in the three day national level convention of Kabir Panthi Sahu Samaj in Semaria village of capital Raipur.
The Chief Minister also dedicated to the public, Rs 30 crores worth hostel building.
He graced the event as chief guest and noted that saints like Kabir are rare occurence who guide the society away from social evils and promote social harmony.
The event was also graced by Ministers Tamradhwaj Sahu and Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia.
CM Baghel also reiterated that saint Kabir has massive influence on the people and lives of the Chhattisgarh state.
