Chhattisgarh Congress leaders arrested ahead of Janjgir

Congress workers kept raising slogans and also entered into scuffle with the local police personnel deployed.

Congress leaders insisting on showing black flags to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he visited Janjgir today were arrested at different spots from all across the state.

It is in this context that Congress rally led by state party chief Bhupesh Baghel was brought to halt near Kategi of BalodaBazaar district.

It is said that this spot is close to sixty kilometers from Janjgir Champa.

The Congress workers kept raising slogans and also entered into scuffle with the local police personnel deployed.

Amongst those who were arrested included Congress leaders Bhupesh Baghel and Mohammed Akbar as well as Tamradhwaj Sahu.

Some of the unruly scenes were also witnessed as some of the Congress workers climbed up the barricades and kept up with the black flags and slogans.

There is also substantial presence of women police force to prevent the women Congress leaders from getting ahead of the barricades.
