Public Health and Family Welfare Minister of Chhattisgarh Mr. TS Singhdeo today chaired a meeting of department officials and experts at conference hall of Legislative Assembly.
He gave instructions to ensure availability of sufficient stocks of medicines in all the hospitals. He also gave instructions to make all kinds of arrangements for examination of swine flu.
Health Minister also gave instructions to ensure immediate treatment of swine flu patients. He asked the officials concerned to immediately start taking measures and provide treatment to the patients suspected to be suffering from swine flu, and not delay it till the issuance of medical reports.
Mr. Singhdeo gave instructions to conduct mass awareness campaigns in all the districts for prevention of swine flu.
He directed to issue advisory in order to inform as many people as people about symptoms, prevention and cure of swine flu.
Mr. Singhdeo also asked the officials to spread awareness among public regarding the treatment and check up facilities being provided by the state government.
Health Department Officials informed in the meeting that Chief Medical and Health Officers have been instructed to stay alert in context of swine flu.
Awareness programmes are being organized to educate people on preventive measures and treatment for swine flu. He told that check up for swine flu is being done at Microbiology Department of Government Medical Colleges and District Hospitals.
