Chief Secretary for monitoring of quality of National Urban Livelihood Mission works

Chief Secretary Mr. Sunil Kumar Kujur today presided over the meeting on the Deendayal Antyodaya National Urban Livelihood Mission working committee at Mantralaya (Mahanadi).

The officials reviewed the development works undertaken in the fiscal 2017-2018 and for the fiscal 2018-2019 till now.

Chief Secretary stressed upon the need to focus on quality and monitor the standard of works.

The Departmental officers informed meeting that Rs Four crore 98 lakh 20 thousand had been allocated to 5380 Self-Help Groups in the fiscal 2017-2018.

About Rs Two crore 14 lakh 50 thousand had already been sanction to 2937 self-help groups in the fiscal 2018-2019 till date. The Self-Help Groups utilize the funds for income generating projects.

An amount of Rs 22 crore 12 lakh 75 thousand had been sanctioned by the banks to 2579 Self-Help Groups till now in 2018-2019 fiscal.

Shelter homes are built for homeless, shelterless, differently-abled persons near the railway stations, hospitals, bus stands, markets in the cities.

Secretary Women and Child Development Department Dr. M. Geeta and senior officers of the Social Welfare Department and Urban Administration were also present.
