Chinese media says India musn’t consider smaller neighboring nations ‘mistresses’
Despite the recent thaw in India China relations and some high profile visits seen on both sides, the Chinese controlled media has gone on to publish an editorial where India has been asked to stop treating smaller countries around it as ‘mistresses’.
In the state controlled Global Times, it also published as to how Doklam standoff pushed the Asian countries to the brink of a war.
The article further said “Indians should get rid of the “being besieged by China delusion.”
It is this delusion, it added, stems from the strong consciousness over a sphere of influence among Indian elites.
They believe that South Asia and the peripheral area of India should be New Delhi’s turf. Every nation in the region should respect only India and reject developing relations with other countries.
The article also said that development is the primary strategic task for China and India. It also said that the western nations would enjoy watching Beijing and News Delhi’s suspicious manners towards each other. >
