City Maha Kalibadi celebrated Poila Boisakh with great religious fervour

On the occasion of Bengali New Year 1425 “Poila Boisakh” people of Bengali community gathered together at Raipur City Maha Kalibadi and Vishwanath Mandir Samity premises to welcome the new year. On this occasion amavasya pujan of Maa Kali was performed and thereafter devotees offered pushpanjali and performed maha arti.

After the pujan of Kali mata Special Guest ex Dean of Raipur Medical College Dr Prabhat Mukherjee, Kalyan Roy, Smt Amiya Bala Roy and executive member of the samity lighted up the lamp and inaugurated the yearly program and puja of the samity “Nirbhaya”. Thereafter Dakhina Ranjan Mukherjee famous theatre artist of Kolkata performed a play “Bhul Rasta” through which he gave message that hunger brings different caste people in one platform and we should not get divided by castism rather we should become human being first.

After the play Bengali song Eso Alo Eso was sung by Shreya Mistri, Ankita Goswami, Sukanya Chakraborty. After this welcome song welcome address was given by General Secretary Gautam Majumdar. After his address Onkita Das sang KON SE ALOR SWAPNO, Rupali Mukherjee sang AAJ MON CHEYECHE, Durga Das Ghosh sang AAMI DURANTO BOISAKHIR JHOD and other also performed dance & drama.

Youth wing of the Raipur City Maha Kalibadi – Deep Chakraborty, Babu Roy, Ricky Roy, Jatin, Sourabh, Jaydeep distributed bhog prasad to all the devotees present. At the end president and executive member – Diptesh Chatterjee, Manab Ganguly, Sambhu Roy, Narayan Roy, Barin Chakraborty, Sujit Sinha, treasurer Satyajit Roy, Ajit Chakraborty informed people of the society that on 9th May Raipur City Maha Kalibadi is going to celebrate birth anniversary of Kavi Guru Rabindranath Tagore at the mandir premises and people of the Bengali community will perform dance, drama & song written by Rabindranath Tagore.
