In a massive relief to the students and their parents awaiting fresh schedule to appear for the re-exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 Mathematics, the Board has now announced that no such exam will take place.
This even as an official announcement from the board is expected later in the day.
CBSE made the decision, it is said, after assessing a random sample of answer scripts and finding no major changes from the performance of students in their internal assessment.
It also needs to be mentioned that the post the CBSE paper leak, the Board had announced that the test centres would from now on receive an encrypted copy of the question papers on e-mail which they would need to download and print themselves.
Earlier, Delhi High Court on Monday had sought a response from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) if they plan on re-test of the class 10 Mathematics examination.
The court had said that the CBSE needs to mention a tentative date and not to keep the students on tenterhooks till then.>
