Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel addressed Guru Ghasidas Jayanti Samaroh organized by Municipal Corporation near Kumhari in capital city Raipur.
CM Baghel said that Chhattisgarh’s gem the great saint and social reformer Guru Baba Ghasidas showed the path of truth and non-violence to people.
He said- every person has truth in their soul. We should all follow the path shown by Guru Baba and consistently make efforts to build a society based on values of equality.
Chief Minister paid floral tribute to Guru Baba Ghasidas and prayed for peace-prosperity for all.
In his address to the programme, Chief Minister said- newly-elected government of the state has already started the work. The promise we made to waiver off the farmers’ loans, we have already started working on it.
The decision in this regard has been taken in the first cabinet meeting after oath of office. He said that more than 16 lakh farmers will be relieved of the burden of loans worth nearly Rs 6100 crore.
In addition, the newly-elected government has promised farmers that the support price for paddy will be increased to Rs 2500 per quintal, and we are committed to keep our promised.
Sufficient budget provisions have been made to implement both the decisions. Chief minister said- we have also decided to ensure SIT probe in Jheeram Valley case of year 2013, the guilty found in investigation will be subjected to strict legal action.
On the occasion, Chief Minister did bhumipujan of construction works worth nearly Rs eight crore nine lakh on behalf of Kumhari Municipal Council. This includes construction works under Drinking Water Augmentation Scheme, Pt Deendayal Upadhyay All-Community Function Hall, night-stay ‘Rayn Basera’ and a garden.
Municipal Council Chairman Mr. Swapnil Upadhyay and other corporators were also present on the occasion, along with a large number of local citizens.>
