Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel chaired a meeting of Board of Directors of Chhattisgarh Khanij Vikas Nigam in Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan).
He directed the officials to ensure appropriate exploitation and utilization of mineral resources of the state.
The meeting decided on commencement of Aaridongri iron ore mine in Kanker district.
It was informed in the meeting that the iron ore from Aaridongri mine is of high quality and will surely benefit the state.
The meeting also decided on mining of bauxite from village Pathrai in Mainpat tehsil of Surguja and its marketing was also deliberated.
It was decided that the exploration work of bauxite belt in Kabirdham and Surguja as well as Aaridongri iron ore mine will be accorded priority.
The decisions taken today will go a long way in ensuring iron ore and bauxite to such industries at affordable rates.
The crucial meet was attended by Chief Secretary Sunil Kujur, Secretary Mining Gaurav Dwivedi, PCCF Mudit Kumar Singh, Mining department Managing Director Smt Alermel Mangai D along with
Secretary Finance Dr Kamalpreet Singh, Special Secretary to energy department Ankit Anand as well as other officials.
