CM Dr Raman Singh: State Government determined to bring prosperity to workers

Chief Minister dedicates, lays foundation stones of works worth Rs 237 crore

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh yesterday conducted a whirlwind tour of industrial town Korba and went on a road show. While addressing a massive public meeting he said that Korba is inhabited by hard-working industrial workers and farmers. The town is known all over the country as a place which lights the entire nation as it generates excess electricity. The State Government is committed to improve the socio-economic conditions of the industrial workers and the toiling farmers.

Dr. Raman Singh said that Labour Department had implemented several social welfare measures to ameliorate the living conditions of the depressed sections of the society. Cycle and sewing machines yojana, equipments’ assistance scheme, Health Insurance Scheme, Deendayal Shram Ann Sahayata Yojana and several other schemes had been helping the workers and farmers. While explaining in detail the various policies and projects of the Central Government , Dr. Raman Singh appealed to the citizens to take full advantage of schemes.

Chief Minister dedicated, laid foundation stones and performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 26 developmental works worth Rs 237 crore. He dedicated eight works worth Rs 142 crore. He performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 18 developmental works worth Rs 94 crore 89 lakh . The dedicated work includes Rs 133 crore 34 lakh worth drinking water project of the Korba Municipal Corporation. He also distributed relief materials and cheques to 22 thousand beneficiaries of various State Government schemes.

Dr. Raman Singh released paddy bonus worth Rs 29 crore 35 lakh to farmers Online for the year 2017. He also dedicated a hostel building worth Rs Two crore 72 lakh, auditorium worth Rs One crore 39 lakh and additional rooms built at a cost of Rs One Crore 40 lakh on the premises of Government Post-Graduate College students, He also dedicated Livelihood College hostel building constructed at a cost of Rs One crore fifty lakh. He also dedicated housing colony to Leprosy patients worth Rs One crore 18 lakh..Urban Administration Minister Mr. Amar Agrawal, Public Works Minister Mr. Rajesh Munat, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Lakhanlal Devangan, MP Dr. Banhsilal Mahato and several prominent personalities were also present.
