With rain slamming the state of Odisha, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed the officials to speed up relief in the 10 districts under the Northern Division.
These districts, as per administration sources, have been extremely affected due to the heavy downpour.
The CM Naveen Patnaik interacted with the media Hirakud Airstrip in Jamadarpali.
It is there that the CM spoke at length on how the officials have been instructed to keep him updated on the progress of the restoration work.
The Chief Minister, who made a brief halt here en route to Sonepur, reviewed the situation in 10 districts under the Northern Division.
It is said that all the 10 districts have been affected due to the downpour on July 21 and 22.
The administration has assessed that Sambalpur, Bargarh and Deogarh districts were the worst hit.
The district administration also gave a proposal to post a permanent unit of ODRAF in Sambalpur.>
