Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh yesterday gifted three new tehsils- Lawan, Gandai, Rengakaar-to the citizens of the State. He is on a State-wide Vikaas Yatra. Lawan (district-Balodabazar) Gandai (district-Rajnandgaon) and Rengakaar (district-Kabirdham) were carved out into new tehsils. They will be developed at a rapid pace.
Dr. Raman Singh while addressing a massive public meeting of Baiga Adivasis at Sahaspur Lohara late last evening said that Rengakaar area will be created as new tehsil. He also sanctioned a multi-purpose community building worth Rs One crore at Lohara.
Dr. Raman Singh said that Lohara tank will be beautified and new bank branch will be opened at Jalmala. He addressed meetings at Lawan, Chuhikadan and Sahaspur Lohara. Chief Minister dedicated, laid foundation stones and performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 343 developmental works worth Rs 745 crore. He also distributed paddy loans worth Rs 121 crore 79 lakh to about 95 thousand 292 farmers at Lawan, Chuhikadan and Sahapur Lohara.
Chief Minister said that the State had been radically transformed during the past 14 years due to the various socio-economic policies implemented by the authorities. He revealed that it is only a trailer of development. ‘Film abhi baaki hai’.
Chhattisgarh will emerge as the most developed state in India and the entire world will take cognizance of it. The entire State is racing towards development. Referring to village Rampur (Tatapur) his birth place (Janam Bhoomi) in Sahaspur Lohara region district Kabirdham he said that its soil is like ‘chandan’ to him. Network of roads and electricity lnks had been laid in the district. There will not be any low voltage problem for the next 50 years.
Chief Minister dedicated 127 development works worth Rs 287 crore 39 lakh in the three public meetings he had addressed. He laid foundation stones and performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 216 works worth Rs 457 crore 60 lakh in the three places.
Dr. Raman Singh dedicated 86 development works worth Rs 206 crore at Lawan. He dedicated and performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 95 developmental works worth Rs 338 crore at Chuhikadan and 162 works worth Rs 200 crore at Sahaspur. He distributed 2, 000 ‘ population lease’ (Abaadi pattas) to families at Lawan and 27 thousand 478 lease pattas at at Chuhikadan.
Dr. Raman Singh transferred Online paddy bonus worth Rs 62 crore 72 lakh to about 49 thousand 140 farmers to their bank accounts at Sahaspur Lohara.
