Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh had detailed deliberations with Union Minister of State for Skills’ Development Mr. Anant Hegde at his official residence.
Higher Education and Technical Education and Skills’ Development Minister Mr. Premprakash Pande and senior officers were also present.
Dr. Raman Singh gave a warm welcome to Mr. Hegde. He gave detailed presentation of the skills development imparted to the youth of Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country which gave youth Right to Skills Development in the vocation of their choice way back in the year 2013.
Dr. Raman Singh said that Livelihood Colleges had been established in all the 27 districts to impart technical education to youth in the vocations of their choice.
An estimated three lakh 19 thousand youth had been provided training in Skills’ up gradation till date. About one lakh 15 thousand youth got self-employed or employment till date.>
