CM Raman visits Pakhanjur, dedicates crores worth of development projects

The villagers, poor and the farmers are enthusiastically supporting the yatra.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that he had embarked upon the Atal Vikas Yatra to give an account of the developmental works of the past 15 years and seek the blessings of the common citizens.

He launched his yatra by seeking the blessings of Maa Danteshwari and Maa Bambleshwari. Chief Minister said he had covered around six thousand kilometres of journey -touching thousands of villages , towns and cities-observed the rapid development of the State.

The villagers, poor and the farmers are enthusiastically supporting the yatra.

Chief Minister said that several infrastructure related projects and programmes had been launched -roads, electricity, drinking water, education and health-to transform the lives of masses.

There is prosperity in the hinterland as the social welfare schemes had benefitted large sections of the people. He was addressing a large gathering at Pakhaanjur district Kanker.

Dr. Raman Singh sanctioned an agriculture college and electricity distribution company divisional office at Pakhaanjur on the requests of the people.

He announced Rs 25 lakh for the renovation work of Pakhaanjur Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium and Rs 20 lakh for Nikhil Samaj community building.

He said that the issues relating to population ‘Lease Pattas’ will be settled soon. Instructions had already been issued to the District Collector. MP Mr. Mr. Vikram Usendi and MLA Mr.Bhojram Nag several people’s representatives and villagers were also present.

Chief Minister dedicated, performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of developmental works worth Rs 109 crore . The dedicated works include-Rs 90 crore 43 lakh worth Bhanupratappur-Pakhaanjur road (62.30 km), Rs 4 crore 82 lakh electric sub-stations at Pakhaanjur,Amabeda and Damkesa villages. He also gave away relief materials and cheques to several beneficiaries of the social-welfare schemes.

Dr. Raman Singh said that an amount of Rs 2400 crore will be distributed as bonus to paddy farmers. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had allocated Rs 200 a quintal on Minimum Support Price (MSP) which is the highest increase ever.

The farmers will be distributed MSP and paddy bonus from 1st November. About Rs 750 crore bonus is being distributed to Tendu patta collectors and 12 lakh had been provided with footwear. 21 thousand women under the BPL category had been allocated domestic cooking gas connections under the Prime Minister ‘Ujjwala’ schemes. The
farmers need not wait for fertilizers anymore.
