Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while participating in three-day long Yamuna Sharad Mahostava, Paonta Sahib in district Sirmaur on Tuesday evening announced the state level status to this Utsav.
The Chief Minister said that fairs and festivals were integral part of our rich cultural repository and should be preserved by one and all as these go a long way in preserving the cultural heritage of the state besides providing wholesome entertainment to the people.
He said that these festivals also apprise the new generation about their past culture and rich traditions.
Jai Ram Thakur announced to increase the bed capacity of civil hospital Paonta Sahib from 100 to 150 beds besides filling up vacant posts of doctors and paramedical staff.
He also announced that the state government would provide all necessary assistance to cover Nallah at Valmiki Basti.
He also released Souvenir brought out by the organisers on the occasion.
Local MLA Sukh Ram Chaudhary while welcoming the Chief Minister detailed various developmental demands of the area.
MP Virender Kashyap, MLA Suresh Kashyap, Vice Chairman State Civil Supplies Corporation Baldev Tomar, Chairman, Agriculture Marketing Board Baldev Bhandari and General Secretary State BJP Chander Mohan Thakur were present on the occasion among others.>
