CM to chair crucial meet on ‘naxal ops’

With rainy season nearly over, the state government is set to review the naxal operations

With rainy season nearly over, the state government is set to review the naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. It is in this context that Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is scheduled to chair a crucial meeting on Saturday evening of senior police officials of Bastar besides Chief Secretary, Director General of Police and other intelligence officials. The meeting is most likely in CM’s residence.

The naxal operations review meeting would focus on the successes achieved so far and whether there is need to amend strategies going forward. The state government would also like to ensure that no controversies are created as the state elections are scheduled to be held by November 2018.
