Concern grows over trapped miners in Meghalaya, heres latest

Concern grows over the fate of the miners trapped in Meghalaya coal mine.

They have been trapped in the illegal mine for over a fortnight.

This even as rescue workers are racing against time to reach the 15 men trapped inside a flooded 320-feet coal mine.

After Congress chief highlighted the issue by way of tweet, Navy divers and trucks loaded with high-power pumps made their way to the mine in a remote region in the state’s East Jaintia Hills district.

A 15-member diving team of the Navy has flown in from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and are on their way to the mine.
