In a shocker from Thane near Mumbai, a man was arrested for allegedly killing his mother-in-law after a quarrel with her.
The accused man, in his thirties, had a quarrel with mum-in-law on some errand.
Police said that the 68-year-old victim has been identified as Kamaljit Kaur.
Police believes that she had gone to her son-in-law Ankush Batti’s home apparently to inquire about her hearing and speech-impaired daughter.
She suspected the son-in-law to be harassing her.
It may have been, police said, that the two then had a quarrel following which he allegedly hit her and then pushed her from the balcony of his flat.
The flat in question is located on the first floor of a residential building on Ghodbunder Road.
It was the neighbours of the accused were quick to alert the police about the incident.>
