Cong chief Rahul Gandhi said this to masses while in Wardha

Congress chief has been consistent in his position against the government

It was the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi that brought together the Congress leadership to Wardha and the party chief Rahul Gandhi took the opportunity to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He was speaking at a rally in Maharashtra’s Wardha when he pointed out that while Gandhi worked to unite the country, PM Modi was working to divide it.

Congress chief has been consistent in his position against the government ahead of the 2019 national election.

He went on to add that while the masses did try PM Modi and how he ‘broke the trust’, it is thus now time to trust Congress and Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology to take India forward.

Congress chief raked up the issue of Rafale fighter jet and asked the PM to explain why Anil Ambani’s Reliance Defence was chosen over state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) as the offset partner for Rafale maker Dassault.

The Congress president has been attacking the Prime Minister and the government on the deal for 36 Rafale jets from France.

Rahul Gandhi also took on the government on farmer protests as thousands were stopped from entering Delhi today by policemen who used tear gas and water cannons.

Congress has gathered for a meeting of its top decision-making body, the Congress Working Committee, at Sevagram.
