The Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has extended support to the bandh call given by the Congress to protest the rising fuel prices.
The nation wide bandh call has been called on September 10.
The CCCI has extended its support after Congress leaders sought the support of the traders and businessmen for an issue that affects one and all in the country.
It need be noted however that Chhattisgarh is due to election later this year and party may be looking to corner the government on this sensitive issue.
Congress has been alleging that despite the crude prices being down at one time, the oil prices in India continued to scale up and it adversely impacts the masses.
The ruling BJP is blaming the international factors for the rise in fuel prices but it is also clear that it used to target the Congress led UPA on the same very issue when it was in opposition.>
