Congress expels RK Rai, Siyaram Kaushik; two MLAs acknowledge allegiance to Jogi

As expected, Chhattisgarh Congress has finally expelled two of its legislators RK Rai and Siyaram Kaushik.

The decision it need be mentioned came after state level leadership met Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi recently.

It is said that the disciplinary committee of the state unit had recommended for the expulsion which was then approved by the Congress high command.

Both the legislators are said to be close confidantes of Ajit Jogi, former Chief Minister.

The two legislators have been frequenting his house in Raipur and also been sharing stage with him ever since Jogi formed a new party.

With this, RK Rai and Siyaram Kaushik join in Amit Jogi in being expelled legislators of the Congress.

While RK Rai said that he has not been informed of expulsion as yet and added that he has been Ajit Jogi all along since he formed a new party in Chhattisgarh.

Similarly, the other MLA Siyaram Kaushik said that they have only been working against the BJP and added that they would form a government under the leadership of Ajit Jogi.
