Raipur: Cases of Coronavirus infection continue to rise in Chhattisgarh. Saraipali MLA has been found infected with Coronavirus. TIs in Kota and Civil Line police stations of Bilaspur district along with dozens of policemen have also tested positive for Coronavirus.
Saraipali MLA Kishmatlal Nand held a meeting in Chhuipali yesterday, in which hundreds of workers were present. After getting fever last night, he got his antigen test done today. The test report has confirmed Coronavirus infection in him. Two of his supporters have also been found infected with Coronavirus. Health department is preparing to send MLA to Raipur AIIMS. BMO Amritlal confirmed that contact tracing of those who came in contact with the MLA is being done.
Bilaspur too is in grip of Coronavirus infection. Kota TI and Civil Line TI have been found infected with Coronavirus. Five jawans of Civil Line Police Station, two women constables of Ratanpur, a jawan in high court and driver of Kota TI, eight jawans from Sirgitti and some other jawans from Kota police station have been found infected with Coronavirus. Sipat TI Mansingh Rathia recently died of Coronavirus.
SP Prashant Aggarwal said that during the crisis arising out of spread of Coronavirus infection policemen are constantly working as Corona warriors. In the last two days, police personnel have been infected from different police stations including 2 police station in-charges. In view of the infection, the corona test of the remaining soldiers is being done after sanitizing the police station.
