Counting to begin from 8 am on December 11, informs MP CEO

A QR code is imprinted by the Commission on all electronic ballot papers

Counting for the Vidhan Sabha Election, 2018 will begin on December 11 at 8 a.m.

The counting will begin with counting of the postal ballots first. For counting of postal ballots, a table will be installed separately for every Assembly constituency-wise.

For this an assistant returning officer will be appointed. Only valid postal votes will be included in the calculation of postal ballots.

QR code will be scanned for the validity of the ballot papers issued in the electronic form.

A QR code is imprinted by the Commission on all electronic ballot papers.

After 30 minutes of counting of the postal ballots, counting will start from EVMs.

If the calculation of postal ballot is not completed before final stage of EVM, then the last phase of the EVM will be calculated only after the calculation of the post ballot is completed.

The result of counting of each phase will be given to the counting agent and its calculation sheet will be given to the calculation agents appointed on the returning officer’s table.
