Raipur turning into Corona hotspot with 52 fresh COVID patients

Raipur: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur has discharged 04 patients and admitted 18 patients on Thursday. 02 samples found positive during tests at VRD Lab. Prof. (Dr) Nitin M Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS informed that presently 81 COVID-19 positive patients are being treated in AIIMS.

These include 06 pregnant and 07 pediatric patients. A 75 years old male patient from Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh was found COVID-19 positive on 07.07.2020 and was referred to AIIMS Raipur. He was admitted in the ICU at a dedicated COVID-19 ward, AYUSH building on 09.07.2020 midnight in critical condition on oxygen support. Medical examination was suggestive of bilateral severe pneumonia with type 1 respiratory failure. Despite all resuscitative efforts, his condition deteriorated further and he succumbed to his illness on 09.07.2020 at 11.45 AM.

Raipur city is turning into Corona hotspot with 52 new COVID patients. CRPF personnel, doctors, nurses and ward boys are among new COVID-19 patients in the capital. According to information received from health department the 52 fresh COVID patients included 8 CRPF personnel, 11 from Abhanpur, 13 from DKS, 7 staff of Telibandha police station, 1 from Hotel Aditya, 1 from Rawatpura College, 1 from Prayas Hostel, 2 from Dhebar Pink City, 2 from Gulmohar Park, 2 from Alnier Hotel MG Road, 1 from Serikhedi, 1 from Changorabhatha, 1 from Satasi Mandir and 1 from Kharora.

All the new COVID patients are being admitted. However, discharge of 35 patients so far is a cause for relief. Out of total 571 people have so far been infected by COVID-19 282 are active patients while 287 patients were discharged after recovery. COVID-19 also caused 2 deaths in the capital.
