COVID-19: 46 persons test positive in Chhattisgarh on Sunday

Raipur: With 46 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) cases and discharge of 52 patients the active COVID-19 cases in Chhattisgarh reached to 615 on Sunday. According to media bulletin of state health department 15 out of 52 fresh COVID-19 cases belong to Raipur district whereas 11 patients were found in Korba, 6 in Koriya, 5 in Bilaspur, 4 in Sarguja, 3 in Janjgir-Champa and 2 in Raigarh.

Process of their admission to hospitals is presently underway. Earlier 28 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported last night. These 28 cases included 19 in Bilaspur, 8 in Raipur and 1 in Rajnandgaon. Total 182636 suspected COVID-19 patients were identified in the state so far and their samples were sent to labs for testing. Samples of 3207 of them tested positive whereas 2578 COVID-19 patients were discharged from various hospitals of Chhattisgarh after recovery.

COVID-19 also caused 14 deaths in the state so far. Two patients found in Katoratalab, Old Rajendra Nagar area Raipur: With two new corona positive being detected from Katoratalab area and Old Rajendra Nagar, the areas nearby the two houses has been declared as containment zone by RMC. The new case of corona positive was found in house near Little Flower School, in Katoratalab thana, Civil Lines area and due to which the Upper Collector Sunil John has declared containment zone with house of Sunil John in the East; Ajay John in the West; Anthony Dener’s house in the East and dead-ends on both side of North and South.

In the other case from Old Rajendra Nagar area under Civil Lines Thana, the house of Bhojraj in the West and dead-ends in all three other sides of North, South and East has been declared as containment zone. All the guidelines of the health and local administration will remain effective in these two containment zones formed by RMC.
