CPI names five candidates for Chhattisgarh election

As per list issued, CPI has named three candidates.

Part of the alliance of Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) and Bahujan Samaj Party, the Communist Party of India now released its own list of candidates for Chhattisgarh poll.

This comes amid three days remaining for nomination to be closed for first phase of state election.

As per list issued, CPI has named five candidates.

The list names Mangal Ram Kashyap from Jagdalpur and Ramchandra Nag from Kondagaon.

Likewise, Radhika Sodhi and Nandram Sodhi have been named Keshkal and Dantewada respectively as CPI candidates.

Manish Kunjam has been fielded by the party from Konta.

It is to be recalled that as per the arrangement announced in the alliance, the CPI were to field two candidates namely from Dantewada and Konta.

But now it has announced five candidates altogether.
