CPM observes shut down to protest ‘crude bomb attack’ in Kannur

Communist Party of India is observing shut down in Kannur district (of Kerala) to protest the ‘crude bomb attack’ at its party workers during a procession on Sunday. The incident took place on Sunday evening in Kaivallikal area of Kannur, considered one of the most politically sensitive districts of Kerala. CPM workers claimed that 14 people including four police personnel got injured in the attack. Though police has registered a case under relevant sections and has begun probe, it has not yet arrested anyone so far.
