In Cricket, in the first Test of the 4-match series against Australia at Adelaide, India were bowled out for 244 on Day 2. Australia were 92 for 5 when reports came in last.

India resumed their first innings with over night score of 233 for six on the second day after Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat. Kohli played a patient captain’s knock of 74 and Rahane and Pujara gave him able support with gritty knocks of 42 and 43.
