President Ramnath Kovind today received a packet of organic farming ‘Adim’ rice grown by a farmer Ludhruram Naag of village Heeranar.
It is in tribal dominated district Dantewada of state of Chhattisgarh.
The farmer spoke to the President Kovind regarding the organic farming being practised in the district.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh explained to the President about the steps being taken to boost organic farming in the district.
The farmers created a brand of ‘Adim’ rice and are getting a positive response from the large number of consumers.
Several farmers are growing scented species of rice-‘Lokti Maachi’ ‘ Jawaphool’ and ‘Dhoobraaj’.>
