Daughters poisoned and dead; police now seeking to nab ‘accused father’

Accused of poisoning three daughters, a man is now absconding in Jind.

Local police sources informed that the accused is Kashmiri Ram of Bighana village and may have committed the crime in an inebriated state.

The deceased daughters have been identified as Komal, 17, Kafi, 14 and Kiran, 7.

Police have booked the accused under charges of murder and he is known to be a daily wage worker.

Kashmiri’s wife Suman and four minor daughters were rushed to hospital on Tuesday.

They were taken to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak.

Two days into the treatment, one of the daughters, identified as Komal, regained consciousness and gave her statement to the police saying that all of them were forcefully poisoned by their father.

Police said efforts are on to nab the accused who is on the run.
