With rising concern over depleting fighter squadrons, the Indian government has finally gloated RFI for fighter jets.

India has expressed interest over acquisition of 110 fighter jets and the deal could be worth $15 billion us dollar.

The conditions also include at least 85 per cent of the aircraft will have to be made in India while 15 per cent of them can be in a flyaway condition.

It need be mentioned that America has already offered F-16 and F-18A hornet aircrafts for Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.

Lockheed Martin has even gone ahead and offered to relocate the F-16 production line to India.

Currently, the IAF has 31 fighter squadrons as against authorised strength of 42 squadrons.
