Defence Minister claims to know identity of Pakistani F-16 pilot downed by IAF’s MiG-21 Bison

The Indian Air Force claims to have downed one of the F-16 of the Pakistan’s inventory.

Union Defence Minister shocked the world that Indian military know of the identity of the Paki pilot who was shot down.

There were eyewitness accounts as well as electronic evidence for it, the Ministry of External Affairs had earlier said.

The MEA had also said evidence on the use of F-16 fighter jets by Pakistan is there in the form of parts of AMRAAM missile recovered from the site, which is carried only by F-16 aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force.

Pakistan claimed it downed two Indian jets, and rejected IAF’s assertion that a F-16 aircraft was shot down by it during the dogfight.
