‘Delhi Earthquake’ message goes viral; but its bogus

it is public knowledge that an earthquake cannot be predicted

Chances are that you too may have received a message on social media platform Whatsapp on the possibility of a massive earthquake in national capital Delhi.

But before you get all alarmed on the message, it is good to know that it is bogus after all.

This is because the message reads something like this.

“According to NASA, the biggest earthquake will hit Delhi soon. The Rector’s Scale is 9.1 or may be 9.2. Date has not cleared yet but it may occur in Between 7th of April to 15th April. Loss of life has declared in lakhs.”

So now while it is public knowledge that an earthquake cannot be predicted, it is all the more unlikely that such a warning should come from American space agency NASA rather than Government of India.

Thus, the experts have dismissed the message as hoax and only passed on with sense of mischief.
