Delhi police nabs senior officer; for stalking multiple girls, sending them lewd messages

Delhi police have arrested a merchant Navy captain for allegedly stalking a woman whom he met earlier in the park and made an acquaintance with.

The police claimed that the 29-year-old man has been allegedly stalking and sending in lewd messages to five girls of a college in south Delhi.

The man has dentified as Suraj Dey, a resident of Amar Colony.

As per police complaint, the accused came in touch with one of the girls in a park where they exchanged phone numbers.

The man started talking on the pretext of being on the lookout of an accommodation.

The girl told the police that only a few days later; the accused began misbehaving so much so that she had to block his number.

But the accused thereafter began sending her obscene messages from another phone numbera and also began stalking her.

The student filed a police complaint on April 17. Though the accused threatened the girl, the police came to know that the accused had been sending lewd messages to four more girls of the same college.

It also emerged in the police probe that he used to have multiple phone numbers to harass the girls.
