Delhi police nabs two for duping people for ONGC jobs

Police said that the two arrested used to pose as Navy officers and then would claim to have connections with various government departments.

Delhi police have gone ahead and arrested two persons for offering jobs to people in the posing as Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

The police’s Crime Branch said that these two were duping people on the pretext of offering them jobs in the ONGC.

Police said that the two arrested used to pose as Navy officers and then would claim to have connections with various government departments.

This would make the victims believe of their high level contacts and they got duped.

Police added that the accused would ask victims to reach the ONGC office after providing them with a fake job letter.

On reaching, they would learn that they had been duped, it added.

According to police, the accused have been identified as Naveen Kumar and his accomplice Himanshu Suman.

Kumar was earlier posted as a second officer in the Merchant Navy and he quit in 2010 after serving in Ethiopia.
