The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is in no mood to let off the school which is alleged to have detained children over alleged delay in school fees.
Kejriwal is said to have told Naheed Usmani, the principal of Rabia Girls Public School, that punishing kindergarten children is totally unacceptable.
It need be mentioned that when Delhi CM and his deputy Manish Sisodia visited the school, as many as 16 little children were confined in the basement for non-payment of fees.
The two leaders then assured parents that stringent action will be taken against the school authorities.
It was Kejriwal who told the school authorities that they will face action by the both Delhi government and the police.
The Chief Minister said an inquiry has been ordered into the matter. He also spent some time with the students and their parents.
The matter came to light after parents went to the police alleging that 16 children were confined to the school basement by their teachers between 7 am to 12 noon in central Delhi’s Hauz Qazi area.>
