With occupancy rates encouraging, the Air India has given green light to the increase the frequency of its Delhi-Tel Aviv flights.
The flight will be raised from three to four per week from July 14.
This was also confirmed by an Israeli tourism ministry official today.
It need be mentioned that the Air India will now fly a 256-seater Boeing 787 Dreamliner every Saturday besides those presently being operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The two carriers that operate flights between India and Israel are Air India and Israeli carrier El Al.
It is said that there is another airline that is contemplating operating on this route.
Israel has been focusing on India as a crucial market.
It is in this context that Israel slashed has also reduced its visa fees for Indian citizens to `1,100 from `1,700 to encourage Indian travellers visit Israel.>
