With the state election due later this year, the opposition Congress hopes to gain from veteran party leader Digvijaya Singh’s recently concluded Narmada parikrama.

However, Digvijay Singh’s political ambitions and the old rivalry between regional satraps in the state are also being looked at with keenness by political observers.

A senior Congress leader, he has been chief minister of Madhya Pradesh twice.

There is believed to different power centers across Madhya Pradesh Congress with Digvijaya Singh, Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia.

There were speculation that Congress chief wanted to declare Scindia as the party’s CM face but had to withhold decision after Kamal Nath threw his hat in the ring.</>
