Raipur, June 09: Union Tourism Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma appreciated the ‘Raman Jan Paryatan Yojna’ and emphasized that the scheme is worth emulating in other states also. He was interacting with the Chhattisgarh tourism and culture Minister Dayaldas Baghel, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board vice president Kedar Nath Gupta, CTB Managing Director M T Nandi and other officials. The delegation had called o the union tourism minister. The delegation briefed on the different schemes of state for promotion and sustaining tourism.
Chhattisgarh Tourism Department vice president Kedar Nath Gupta gave the details of different scheme. Gupta raised demand of two buses for ‘Raipur Darshan’ scheme. Union Minister for smooth running of the scheme sanctioned two Half-up buses (Double decker with open roof) for the scheme.
The proposal for Eco-tourism circuit and tribal circuit was forwarded to Union Tourism minister. On which it was briefed that in future, eco-tourism circuit, Ramayana Circuit and Tribal Circuit would be special identity in State of Chhattisgarh and through them special needs of tourists would be taken care by developing basic amenities to the tourists.
Additional to it, the assurance was given for regional contact scheme under which in Chhattisgarh, Raipur, Bilaspur, Ambikapur and Raigarh airport would commence along with Central government would also be working to promote Bastar Dusherra at national level. Director, Culture and other officials were present.
