During his tour to Rajnandgaon district under Vikas Yatra today, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said in his address to the massive public gathering that I have received so much love, support and blessings from people of Rajnandgaon that even if I serve them whole life, it would not be enough. He informed people about the important works accomplished in Rajnandgaon in 14 years.
Dr Singh announced sanctioned of 200 pond deepening works in Rajnandgaon. These works will be done under CSR. He said that major infrastructural development works such as medical college hospital, international hockey stadium, Digvijay stadium, major irrigation schemes have been in the district. Despite the natural calamity of drought, farmers had relief because of Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme.
In Rajnandgaon district only, insurance claim of Rs 400 crore was cleared to the drought-affected farmers in kharif season. In this district, more than 35 thousand houses were sanctioned under Prime Minister Housing Scheme. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, one lakh 30 thousand women were provided free gas cylinders. These schemes are bringing major positive shift into the lives of people.
On the occasion, MP Mr. Abhishek Singh said that we are witnessing tremendous response from public during Vikas Yatra. He said that in last 14 years, Rajnandgaon has undergone significant development in all the sectors.
On the occasion, In-charge Minister of the district Mr. Rajesh Moonat, Mayor of Rajnandgaon Mr. Madhusudan Yadav and others were present as special guests.
Chief Minister said that under SKY scheme, 55 lakh mobile phones will be distributed to connect people through technology. On the occasion, Chief Minister commemorated the great persons from literature field.
He said that great personalities such as Muktibodh, Bakshi ji and Baldev Prasad Mishra have made Rajnandgaon the cultural capital of Chhattisgarh.
At the general assembly held in Rajnandgaon today, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh inaugurated-laid foundation of construction works worth nearly RS 329 crore 33 lakh.
This includes inauguration of completed construction works worth Rs 120 crore 13 lakh, and foundation laying of Rs 209 crore 20 lakh. In the programme, Chief Minister made online payment of the paddy bonus worth Rs 83 crore into the bank accounts of 82 thousand farmers.
Dr Singh distributed ‘aabadi patta’ to 54 thousand families of the district, and gave away goods and cheques of financial aid to 41 thousand labourers under various schemes of Labour Department.
Works inaugurated by Chief Minister include Ghumka-Thelkahih Road widening work worth Rs 26.35 crore, Rajnandgaon-Arhujna Gunderdehi Road worth Rs 24.17 crore, MCH Hospital of 100-bed capacity, Parrikala railway underbridge worth Rs 8.40 crore, Nal-Jal Praday Yojana near Medical College worth Rs 8.27 crore.
Chief Minister laid foundation of Ghumariya Barrage canal lining worth Rs 39.98 crore, Belgaon Mohara Road widening work worth Rs 19.27 crore, Rani Sagar Budhasagar beautification work worth Rs 16.38 crore, Arvira-Alivara-Rengakathera road worth Rs 9.28 crore, and Matiyadarri anicut micro irrigation scheme worth Rs 8.90 crore.
In the programme, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh distributed LPG cylinders to 1850 women of poor families under Ujjwala Yojana, and goods worth Rs 5 crore 31 lakh to 43 thousand 318 labourers. He distributed ‘aabaadi patta’ to 53 thousand 958 families.
Chief Minister distributed cheques of financial aid worth Rs one crore 36 lakh to 351 self-help groups, smart cards to 41 thousand 254 families, and goods and cheques to beneficiaries of other departmental schemes.>
