While waste management is need of hour for country, the Aligarh Municipal Corporation has joined hands with a waste management company to make what is being described as ‘eco-friendly’ bricks.

The bricks are being made from garbage, concrete and cement.

The manufacturing is being done in the city of Meerut.

The whole project took shape after the idea of the ‘eco-friendly’ bricks was presented to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath last year.

It is now being said that the bricks manufactured here have also been utilized in Lucknow and Gurgaon.

As per the specifications of the bricks, a single one weighs 17 kilogram and is worth around Rs 35.

The authorities are looking at ways to decrease the weight of the bricks for better results.
