English and Foreign Language University (EFLU), Hyderabad will be conducting their end semester exams online due to the nationwide lockdown imposed because of the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus. The exams were earlier scheduled to be taken in a normal manner in May 2020, but because of the closure of all educational institute amid the lockdown, end semester exams will have to be conducted online.
The exams, which were scheduled to be held in May 2020 from the university classrooms, will be held online through open book tests, take-home examinations, term papers, assignments or projects.
The decision was taken during the 12th academic council meeting and the information was made public through a press release issued by the university.
The university also confirmed that online classes will continue for all the students till April 29, 2020, which is the last teaching day as per the academic calendar of the university. The PhD viva voce examination for candidates will also be held online due to the nationwide lockdown.
Many universities are conducting online classes and exams in view of the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak in our country. All educational institutes have been shut down to ensure social distancing and to limit the spread of covid-19 virus.
As of now, there is no confirmed date as to when the educational institutes will be able to conduct sit-down classes again. The dates for commencement of the new academic session is also not known.
